Join the Vancouver Half Marathon Charity Challenge race to benefit the Cancer Research Society!

Whether you’re looking for a serious challenge or a fun activity for the whole family, the Charity Challenge – Vancouver Half Marathon will meet your needs. It is the perfect opportunity to walk or run for a good cause, like the Cancer Research Society!
Whether you choose to do a 21k, three peat challenge, the Elite, 5k, or partake in the children's event, your participation will make a real difference in the fight against cancer as all funds raised go toward research.

  1. Register to the event on the Race Roster website.
  2. Select your race and follow the instruction.
  3. The most important section of your registration to be part of the Cancer Research Society team is General & Charity Challenge Fundraising Teams.
     You have to choose one of the two options beginning by YES. Afterwards select in Team category Équipe du Défi caritatif/Charity Challenge Fundraising. If you create your own team, do not forget to select Société de recherche sur le cancer/Cancer Research Society as your preferred fundraising organization.
  4. As you registered into the race, you will also have created your Race Roster account. Race Roster is the web platform used by the Charity Challenge to create your personal fundraising page, solicit your contacts, raising funds and thank your donors. A confirmation email with all the details you need to know will be sent to you. This email will help you throughout each step of your challenge.

The Cancer Research Society is participating for the first time in the Vancouver Half Marathon Charity Challenge. We hope you will join our team!

Statistics show that in Canada, two out of five will be touched by cancer, and that, one out of four will die from this terrible disease. This is why scientific research remains paramount!

Joining the team of the Cancer Research Society is rewarding!

100% of your efforts will contribute to the funding of research on all types of cancer. Your determination will be rewarded by the Cancer Research Society if you collect $1,000 or more, we will reimburse your registration fee! Through scientific curiosity, and the passion of our team, combined with your efforts, we will succeed in finding better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease.
